Life at Stepping Stones
|
As a small school, we are able to offer students a bespoke curriculum, with teaching that is focussed on the differing and individual needs of each of our students. We also support each student's physical and emotional needs, with a range of therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy as well as counselling.
In addition, we strive to provide a broad spectrum of extra curricular activities such as cinema clubs, IT workshops, swimming and sailing. Students are encouraged to develop their independent living skills, so that by the time they leave Stepping Stones, they are equipped not only academically, but with the skills required to cope as young adults in a demanding world. |
Duke of Edinburgh Award SchemeAll our pupils are involved in an Awards Scheme. Those aged 14 and over are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh award. |

Digital Creativity WorkshopsWe run regular workshops at the end of the Spring and Summer terms. We invite children with hemiplegia to join in and have a go at making digital music, animations and video. |
Presenting at BAFTAEach year, two pupils attend the annual Be Very Afraid event in London, at the very prestigious BAFTA HQ in Piccadilly. Pupils showcase their digital creativity work to an audience of poeple involved in media and policy. |
