Stepping Stones Team completes COINS Three Peaks Challenge |
When I asked members of our team about their memories of the Three Peaks Challenge event, Mieke replied...
"Seven went up, Seven came down"
... and indeed, that is what happened. Seven members of the Stepping Stones Team completed the COINS Three Peaks Challenge event.
It was an amazing achievement by the Stepping Stones Team.
Here are some photographs from the weekend's event which took place on 6th and 7th May 2006. More photographs and some video clips to come.

Well done girls.....and Jonathan but next year I'm adding two more peaks,Everest and K2.That should shake you off! Plus Don is driving so although you will arrive safely the rest of us will have left.
Congratulations to the whole team for a really fantastic effort - a real 'up in the clouds' experience! Judging from the photos the scenery was an added bonus and hopefully it compensated for the exhaustion! Well done guys! TP
Thank you TP, yes the views were stunning... though there wasn't much time for standing and studying the views as spectacular as they were. We were very lucky at the summits of both Ben Nevis and Snowdon, where the weather conditions allowed us to see for miles.
Good afternoon Stepping Stones. Web site is really good and have managed to get pod cast to work (fab singing Amy). Thank you all at Stepping Stones for doing such a grand job and helping Jess to become an independent young lady but most importantly making her a happy young lady that has a future to look forward to. We don't know what we would of done if we had not have found you. THANK YOU. HelenX PS Give me a wave on cam when you go horseriding.
Hi Helen thank you very much for you comment i hope you had a good look around on it.
I am glad you looked at my singing of Phantom of the Opera I can't believe that Dan recorded me :-)
Hope you can comment soon :-)
Thanks for the reply Amy and I can't wait to see what Stepping Stones will produce next on this great web site. (I cannot believe how much time I am now spending on the computer).

Hi all
I used to work with Jonathan - he used to work in the desk beside me and was really messy - is his desk messy at your place too? :-)
Congratulations on the peaks challenge! I recently went on a charity trek to Cuba and it was so amazing to complete it so I know a little of how you must feel. Well done!
What's next then?

Messy?? You should see my desk..........if you really want to see messy, Jonathan's desk doesn't even come close!
Hey seriously though, I enjoyed visiting your brill school again last Friday and hearing about some of the creative things you guys are up to.
How about writing a short article about the school and your various programmmes and activities for HemiHelp's Quarterly Newsletter - and some photos eh?
Let me know if you'd like to on john@hemihelp.org.uk
Hope to hear from you.
Bye for now.
John
Hello John,
Thank you for your comment... it sounds as though I have your support on the messy desk front :-)
We enjoyed having you visit and look around the school, as you can see, enormous potential for supporting children with Hemiplegia, and not just physically in the school, but beyond using new technologies. I say, new, but these have been available for some years now... we just need to harness and deploy them in a safe online community.
We should have our pupils contributing to the HemiHelp newsletter, thank you for your suggestion...
Amy, Dom, Dan, Jessica... what do you think? Very happy to help and so will other people too.
John, as for the parents conference, I will discuss with your events person at HemiHelp.
Thanks again and looking forward to working with you more in the future.
Well Jonathan's is really messy John but my one at home is very tidy :-) ...... Well we all haven't seen Jonathan's desk yet .
It was nice to see you and talk to you .
Hope to see another comment again very soon
Bye 4 now
Amy
Hello Amy and Gina... I think there is a need for some hard evidence here....
This is my desk as of Friday 19th May 2006... (click image to enlarge)
Now that's quite tidy I think... though I suppose that is subject to opinion. :-)
I will do my part in the challenge Larry has set. I will post another photograph shortly, showing further efforts to keep my desk tidy.
Jonathan :-) I think we should all see Jonathan's desk upstairs and we can see if it tidy or not , Jonathan perhaps you can show me.
Hope you can clear it this week. :-)
Good to see the interest in Jonathan's messy desk but are you going to do some research into those popcorn making machines Amy?You also need to encourage your fellow students to respond.OK?
