Hi Guys just want to thank you all for a fab day at Thorpe Park, don't know about you but i was dreaming about some of those SCARY rides last night.......and I fell asleep about 8pm on the settee !!!!!
My favourite ride was definately 'tidal wave' what about you ?
A really big thank you to all the staff that took Jessica on the trip to Thorpe Park. Jess really did enjoy her day (even though I don't think she will ever forgive Jonathan for the water ride). Sorry Jonathan I know what she is like and how strong she is when she freaks on a ride but a big thank you for holding on tight and not letting her leave the boat. Thanks again Helen
Yess i had lovely time at thorpe park but i will never forgive jonathan for the log ride And it says that it is the wildest ride in the world but i think it was the scererest ride in the world sory jonathan but i will never forgive you
I don't think I really expected any forgiveness, Jess :-) You really did find that scary. I just wish I knew about the dark tunnel and the big drop at the end before we considered going on the ride. However, maybe you wouldn't have gone on the ride at all and certainly wouldn't have been able to reflect on the experience, though perhaps you wouldn't have squeezed my arm anywhere near as much either!!
After the ride, you said something to me and the others. Something like (and sorry, I can't remember the exact words) ....
... which I thought was lovely having just been on one of the scariest rides in the park.
Sometimes it is good to face your fears, as you never know if you will conquer them and not be scared next time.
Having said all that, aircraft flight still worries me, but that doesn't stop me from flying, I just have to work much harder at rationalising my fears. Jumping out of an aircraft in New Zealand has helped a little bit! ;-)
I think my favourite ride was Tidal Wave as well. It was so timely to get completely soaked and to cool us down on one of the hottest days of the year so far. Admittedly, it wasn't such good timing when it was time to leave and the pupils had to climb into Carol's new car in wet clothes... (oops!)
If I could choose another ride that stood out, it would probably be 'Samurai' - not one that I would have ordinarily chosen, but definitely up there in the 'big thrill' stakes. I daren't mention Loggers Leap...
Can you give me your windbreaker pants. If you have a button down long sleeve shirt in green or in Yellow can you give it to me. My email is andrewballin@hotmail.com
Hiya! Just seen all those cool photo's that were taken at Thorpe Park ... looks like everyone had great fun and got slightly wet! d:-) I went to Thorpe Park when I was at college all those years ago! I know how Amy felt when she was on the Rapids!
I was even brave enough to go on Tidal Wave and yes i got soaked through! I didnt even talk to my friend Debbie for a whole week after she put me through that!
Im not a big rides fan ... but I probably would have great fun if I went again though! :-)
Jonathan the comments that you've put under the photo's are very funny! :-)
Glad everyone had wonderful and fun day! :-)
