In are summer workshop we been doing steps into Animation. We tried to use I can Animate but it did not, so we used iStop Motion. We had to do music nine times to get right so that it would match the film. We enjoyed making the Animation.

2006 ICT Summer Workshops - Shark: The Animation

This animation was created in the Summer ICT Workshop. We used the Chroma Key technique
( more commonly known as "Green Screen" ) to fill the green background with the image/colour of our choice.
We had encountered many problems with Chroma Key including not enough or too much light but we felt that it was best if we stuck with it, and that it gave a more professional finish than if we used iStopmotion.
Also with thanks to Alice from HemiHelp, who made the shark !
Animation Workshop at Alfriston School
Pupils at Alfriston School in Buckinghamshire participated in an Introduction to Animation workshop on Wednesday 14th June 2006.
The pupils used Apple Macintosh computers and a variety of software to create the animations below. iStopMotion software allowed the pupils to make the animation.
The group were given a theme 'disappear' which provided a constraint for their ideas. Pupils had only 90 minutes to plan and make a short animation, in which many recorded a soundtrack using GarageBand. The soundtracks were added to the animation using iMovie software.
